Have you ever read or watched a movie that left you confused? You feel like you should get your time back because you couldn’t really figure out what you just spent your time on. But at the back of your mind, you know there is something there, but you just couldn’t get to it.
Like an itch to scratch but you can’t locate it. This post is going to be like that, it doesn’t have any actionable points. It’s just my thoughts. I also can’t give you your time back. Sorry, not sorry.
If you are too busy to read the full post, here is a recap:
Time is the only true capital you have. Every other capital is useless without time and in a sense we are, because we have time. Time doesn’t care and you are not that important. If you die tomorrow, the sun will rise and set like its just another beautiful day.
Note: This post might not be for you. It contains assumptions and recommendations based on the life I’ve lived, things I’ve seen, and words I’ve heard. Also, I use slang; this is not an academic writing with verifiable facts. It’s simply a statement of how Fred interprets the world as he lives through it. I might be rude, scratch that, I am actually rude in some sentences; don’t pardon me though.
This post is not about age or beauty. It is about something more. It is about time.
You are time; at least your own time
Time is one of humanity’s most perplexing and challenging concepts. What is time? Is it a universal concept? Is it uniquely human? Will there ever be a unified theory, or must we accept time as an ever-changing notion shaped by physical and cultural contexts?
Everything revolves around time, our existence, our youthful exuberance, the success of our ideas. Time can determine whether a business is successful or not. You are time, at least your time.
5 daily Habits That Changed My Life for better
Time is your most loyal friend
You can’t get a better friend than time on your side. When in pain, we expect it to pass with time. During turbulent periods, we wait and pray for the time to pass, and the new dawn to arrive. Every day we structure and decide our lives based on time.
If time is on your side, you feel like the most important, luckiest person on earth. News flash you are not. Lots of folks running same race, yet falling flat on their faces.
It’s just that kind of life.
Time is the fearsome enemy
But time is also a cruel foe. With time, all good things come to an end. Species go extinct, skin wrinkles, bodies weaken, and lungs breathe thinner. Time brought drought and extreme cold.
When bad times happen, they say it’s part of life as we need to experience bad times here and there. Time is a mystery. Give it time, a new house will crumble and a clean desk is bound to get dirty again.

Time doesn’t give a care – You are not that important
Time is always on, even if you are not. Well, you are writing your final paper, you are building a business, nurturing a relationship. You are doing this or that. Good for you, time doesn’t care.
Your dog just died, you just injured your leg, time doesn’t care. There is going to be day and then night. You just got promoted, became the richest person or the youngest CEO again, time doesn’t give a fuck, it’s going to be day and then night.
Time is always on, even if you are not
Time will betray you
Time makes us invisible, we are young, strong, powerful, charming and wonderful – these by no strength of our own, but because we have more time in our hands.
Stay alive long enough, time is going to be your enemy down the line, your back is going to hurt simply because you have used too much time. Infact, stay in some relationship enough, you will see shege.
Houses will crumble simply because you have had them for too long. Your Iphone battery is going to drop to 40, just give it time. It is just that kind of world.
Time is a multiplier
One thing though, time seems to be a multiplier. It at least gives you something back. And that helps us to demystify it a little bit.
We get good at most things we spend time on. Whether good or bad. At least that gives us a little bit sense of control that if we spend the time well, we get something in return. Sigh, that’s a relief.
The Ultimate Blueprint to Self-Confidence
Time is a motherfucker
I know I just said above that time seems a little bit understandable. We get a bit more of what we put our time in. But surprise surprise, I lied. Not intentionally but yea.
Time doesn’t do that shit, at least not every time. You plant crops but moths eat them. You can learn a skill and it might become useless by the time you are done.
Love and not get love back. It’s just that kind of world we live in. But why you might ask. Well, I wouldn’t know, I was not there during the creation of the concept of time.
Understanding time is a waste of time
These words I wrote that you are reading, it’s nothing but an attempt to understand time as a concept, but it’s a waste of time.
Nothing you seem to grab here is a universal truth. In fact, the picture I have been trying to paint is that you shouldn’t try to understand time. Because you can’t, at least not in the way you can bend or manipulate it to your will or benefit.
Time Management for Nigerian Students
Time has different effects on different things
Eventually, Time deteriorates beauty, strength, power. But, Time multiplies knowledge, skills, investments. If you think there is a form of meaning to above you are still not getting it. Time is unpredictable.
Time multiplies some relationship, but then kills some. It values some skills but also makes some skills redundant, Time improve some people’s health, while mess other people’s own. Time is a motherfucker.
Conclusion
I know I said no actionable steps but these can be handy;
Stay open; time turns
Stay humble; time turns
Stay healthy; time turns
Stay grinding; time turns
Don’t give up, time turns
You are not pretty; You are just young. Give it time.
Till next time.
Cheers ❤️
